A Tribute to the King of the Pure Blues – John Lee Hooker
- 지난 2001년 타개한 위대한 블루스맨 John Lee Hooker(1917-2001)를 추모하는 프로젝트의 제 1탄에 해당하는 음반으로 Jeff Beck, Gary Moore, Jack Bruce, Mick Taylor, Peter Green 등 영국의 60년대를 풍미했던 뮤지션들의 존경을 담고 있다.
- B.B. King에 의해 'Pure Blues', 'True Blues'라고 칭송받은 John Lee Hooker의 블루스 넘버들은 영국과 미국의 수많은 뮤지션들에게 영향을 끼친 바 있는데, 추후 발매되는 트리뷰트의 제 2탄은 미국 뮤지션들의 참여로 이루어질 예정.
- 앨범의 프로듀싱은 60년대의 수퍼그룹 Cream의 프로듀서/작사가로 활약한 바 있는 Pete Brown에 의해 이루어졌다.
