최근 Bruce Springsteen이 발표한 [We Shall Overcome: The Seeger Sessions]과 함께 온고지신한 새로운 자세로 이전음악에 대한 새로운 조명과 도전을 표하고 있다. 이미 클래식컬 팝과 재즈 등을 선보이며 컨츄리 뮤지션으로는 보기 드문 폭넓은 활동으로 평론가들로부터 전폭적인 지지를 얻고 있는 K.D. Lang의 이번 앨범에는 Western Swing, Traditional Country, Polka등의 재현되고 있으며 1984부터 1993까지 그녀가 발표했던 앨범들에서 이러한 성향이 강한 곡들을 선곡했다.
